Oxford Bucket List

Whether you’re a first time visitor, a second semester Miami senior, or a lifelong townie, there’s always something new to try in Oxford. To help you out, we created a list for you to use as you explore new places and things in our town!

  • Kick off your Butler County donut trail experience at Oxford Doughnut Shoppe
  • Challenge yourself with a yoga class at Root Yoga
  • Try at least two new types of food. Never had Indian food? Stop by Krishna!
  • Learn more about Oxford with a walking tour
  • Spend a Saturday shop hopping uptown! (Bonus points if you buy something for yourself and for someone else.)
  • Try something new! Rock climbing at the rec? Ice skating at Goggin?
  • Try a new bagel at Bagel and Deli, an Oxford classic (Bonus point: Try ALL the bagels)
  • Visit the farmer’s market at least once a month
  • Try a new type of coffee at Kofenya
  • Catch a performance uptown at the Summer Concert Series (Bonus points for perfect attendance all summer long!)
  • Head out for a midnight snack at Bruno’s Pizza or Mac and Joes!
  • We have over 30 local eateries...can you try them all?
  • Stay in one of Oxford’s quaint bed and breakfast locations
  • Go all out at a Miami sporting event (Bonus Point: Make sure there is face paint involved.)
  • Attend all the festivals that Oxford has to offer
  • Hike and explore over 17 miles of nature trails
  • Meet up with President Crawford (Bonus point: Pet his dog, Emma!)
  • Get a taste of history at one of Oxford’s many historical sites, including the Dewitt Log Homestead or the Black Covered Bridge.
  • Eat local! Buy groceries from the Moon Co-op or the Uptown Farmers Market.
  • Spend an afternoon in one of Oxford's local parks
  • Feeling artsy? Paint at You’re Fired, take a class at Lane and Kate or visit the Oxford Community Arts Center!
  • Learn how to square dance at the Oxford Community Arts Center
  • Attend the Oxford Wine Festival
  • Rent a kayak at Hueston Woods lake
  • Take photos of your favorite spots on Miami’s campus (Bonus point if it gets reposted by Miami University or the Oxford Visitors Bureau!)
