There’s nothing quite like a long, summer night in Oxford, Ohio. Come experience the town for yourself and see the variety of fun things to do in the summer. Here’s a list of a few enjoyable activities that are sure to turn into fun memories!
Hueston Woods Night Hikes
Hueston Woods State Park, located just 10 miles outside Oxford, offers guided night hikes every Friday during the summer. Whether you’re new to Hueston Woods or go all the time, you won’t want to miss this! Hikes begin at 9:30 p.m. and anyone interested will meet at the Indian Mound in the campground.

O’Pub -- A beautiful speakeasy with no sign sets the scene for O’Pub. Featuring a full bar with great wine and beer selections; the dark paneled walls, small booths and tin type ceiling invite you to linger with your friends.
Mac and Joe’s -- Over 71 years old, Mac and Joe’s is Oxford’s oldest tavern and has come a long way from serving 3.2 beer with crushed peanuts on the floor. Today this establishment is a favorite for alumni, residents and students alike. Mac and Joe’s is all grown up and offers a full bar, yummy pub grub, great beer and a fun night out.
Circle Towne Tavern -- Just around the corner from Oxford’s authentic German Bier Hall and restaurant Steinkeller is Circle Towne Tavern. A speakeasy leads into a full bar with many TVs for watching sports. Feel free to order food from Steinkeller and it will be brought downstairs to you.
Holiday Auto Theatre
Just a few miles outside of Oxford is Butler County’s drive-in movie theatre. Bring the whole family for some drive-in fun! Every show night features two back-to-back movies. Concessions are available. For directions, showtimes and ticket prices, click here.
Mark your calendars for the remaining performances in Oxford’s Summer Concert Series. This is a community-favorite that you won’t want to miss! Concerts are every Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.. in Uptown Parks. Bring the kids and a lawn chair for a memorable night.
