High Street will close to through, vehicular traffic between Main Street and Beech Street beginning the week of July 28, 2008 for 41 days. A detour for vehicular traffic will be posted.
Mainline Road & Bridge Construction, Inc., a contractor for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), will begin work to improve the surface and sub-surface of High Street by removing the brick roadway surface and removing the concrete base and portions of the sub-base. The bricks will then be installed on a new concrete base.
Sidewalks will be open to pedestrian traffic and signs will be installed to inform the public that the businesses are open during construction.
This project is administered by ODOT. All concerns and inquires are to be directed to ODOT District 8 Public Information Officer at (513) 933-6511.
- U.S. 27, South of Liberty, Indiana, is closed until 2010 for construction on the bridge and widening of the lanes. Detours are set up. Also, U.S. 27 at State Route 70 is under construction, expect delays.
Parking:
Miami University's north campus parking garage, located along Withrow Lane and behind the Engineering Building, is now open.
