2017 Oxford's Fall Bucket List

There's nothing quite like fall in Oxford, Ohio. From farmers' markets to community square dances to festivals, Oxford offers many fun, seasonal favorites. Learn to square dance at the Oxford Community Square Dance

Date: Friday, October 6, 7:30 p.m.

Location: Oxford Community Arts Center - 10 S College Ave., Oxford, OH 45056

Mark your calendars for the first Friday of every month and come join in on some square dancing fun at the Oxford Community Arts Center! The Jericho Old Time Band and caller Judy Waldron will help make this night a memorable one for the whole family. Admission is $7 per person at the door. Make some apple butter at Hueston Woods State Park's annual Apple Butter Festival

Date: Saturday, October 7 & Sunday, October 8, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: Hueston Woods Pioneer Farm and House - 6924 Brown Rd., Oxford, OH 45056

Hueston Woods State Park’s 53rd annual Apple Butter Festival is back! Come enjoy learning how to make and can apple butter in the original, pioneer fashion. Apples, cider, pumpkins and gourds will be available for purchase. Whether you want to learn some pioneer crafts, take a tour of the historic Doty homestead, or just enjoy some bluegrass music, you’re guaranteed to find something fun to do! Admission is $4 at the door and free for children under 12.

Successfully do the corn maze at Butterfield's Farm & Market

Location: Butterfield's Farm & Market - 4000 Oxford Trenton Rd. Oxford, OH 45056

There's something for the whole family at Butterfield's Farm & Market! Enjoy a nice hayride then challenge yourself to completing the corn maze. Don't forget to stop by the market for some fresh produce, ciders and fruits.

Cheer on the redhawks at a Miami University football game

Date: Saturday, October 7, Saturday, October 21, Tuesday, November 7, Wednesday, November 15

Come cheer on the Miami University redhawks at one of their four remaining home games of the season! Bring your best red Miami apparel and bring the whole family for some football fun! Check out the schedule for home games below (times TBD):

Try a new food at the Oxford Farmers’ Market

Date: Every Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Location: Uptown Parks - 2 N. Main St., Oxford, OH 45056

Stop by the Oxford’s community farmers’ market for some locally-grown produce. Find anything from handmade crafts to flower bouqets to delicious jams and jellies.

Take a ride on the Oxford Recreational Trail

Location: Leonard Howell Park - 5094 Bonham Rd., Oxford, OH 45056

Get outside and get active on Oxford's new recreational trail! Bring the whole family for biking, walking or jogging on the 2.25 mile path. Continue even farther on the path to the Miami Connector and pass over the bridge on 4-mile creek!
