Oxtoberfest When: October 8th 1:00pm - 10:00pm Where: Uptown Park 'Tis the seaon of falling leaves, caramel apples, pumpkin carving... and of course BEER! The first annual Oxtober fest will be...
The Enjoy Oxford website has gotten a makeover! We're excited about the change and hope you are, too. We've categorized our blogs into Highlights on each page (Homepage, Dining, Things to Do) so all of the information you're looking for is easier to find now more than ever.
We know that with change can come a little confusion since you're probably used to the layout of the old site. But have no fear! This page is here to help you navigate our new site so you'll be a pro in no time.
If you still have questions about how to find what you're looking for on the website, just shoot us a message on Facebook or send an email to TaylorMeredith@enjoyoxford.org
We have three drop-down menus on the homepage now. Hover your mouse over any one of them and a list of options will appear. In the menu on the top right, click "Eat" if you're looking for dining options, "Do" if you're looking for fun ways to spend the day (including shopping), and "Stay" if you're looking for hotels & lodging. We also have a helpful "Getting Around" page now that will teach you about all the transportation options in Oxford!
The other menus give you more specific ways to search, like if you're looking specifically for local restaurants or for something to do with your dog.
Now let's talk about our new Highlights sections. These sections can be found on almost every page of the website. Just scroll down a little and you'll see them in the form of square photos that you can click. These highlights consist of articles (also known as blogs) that give in-depth information on everything from the Uptown Music lineup to where to get the best desserts in town. We'll switch these highlights out every so often, but you can read them all if you simply click the Blog Archive button underneath the highlights section. Happy reading!
If you're looking for a good old-fashioned directory, we still have that, too! To get to the dining directory, just scroll past the Highlights on the Dining page and you'll find the directory at the bottom. To get to the area attractions directory, scroll past the Highlights on the Things to Do page and the directory will be right there. The Shopping & Nightlife directories have their own menu buttons on the Things to Do Page, as you can see below. Just click whichever one you like and it'll open up into a new screen with an entire list of shopping and nightlife options in Oxford.
Last but certainly not least is our calendar. There are a couple of ways to access our calendar. Either click the menu in the top right corner of the screen, after which you'll see calendar as a menu option. Or, when you're on the homepage, just scroll down past the Highlights section and you'll see the Calendar widget on the left side of the screen. There are a just a couple of events listed in this view, so to see the whole calendar you'll want to click the Show Full Calendar link.
That is our new website in a nutshell! There are a lot of new hings to explore, so click around, experiment, and let us know if you have any questions. We're happy to help!
