Oxford, Ohio, our vibrant college town, is the perfect destination for a picturesque summer day! Between all of our events and activities, there's something for everyone to...
If you're new to town: Welcome to Oxford, Ohio! We're so excited you're here to enjoy our small but mighty town. Are you an incoming Miami University student? A new resident who's moved here with family? A visitor just passing through? No matter why you're here or where you're coming from, Enjoy Oxford is here to welcome you and make you feel at home.
If you're a local: Hi there, beloved townie. If you're feeling the town buzzing with energy right now it's because summer is winding down and we're gearing up for an exciting transition. Students are moving in and classes are starting!
There are plenty of events in the coming weeks to help us all celebrate our neighbors and friends, old and new. Check out our list of upcoming events and we'll see you around town!
(Bookmark our online community calendar for even more events.)
When: Tuesdays (through October) from 4 PM - 7 PM AND
Saturdays (year-round!) from 9 AM - 12 PM
Where: Uptown Oxford (2 East High Street)
Our local farmers market is so popular that it's now taking place twice a week! Every Tuesday through October and every Saturday, it sets up just behind the Memorial Park in our historic uptown district, near the Main and High Street intersection. Come enjoy an array of locally grown produce and food products (think baked goods, salsa, jams) as well as handmade decor, jewelry, and more. There are also hot food vendors so you can grab something to eat while you shop.
So pick up some fresh flowers, pet a dog (or two or three), and enjoy our farmers market year-round. Seasonal hours can be found on the official market website here.
Take note: The Farmers Market accepts EBT cards. And thanks to Produce Perks you can get up to $40 for fruits and vegetables for just $20 off your EBT card.
When: Every Saturday through Sept. 25, 9 AM - 10 AM
Where: Uptown Park, under the pavilion (2 East High Street)
Good news: there's a yoga class every Saturday in the uptown park. More good news: it's free! Bring a water bottle and yoga mat and welcome the weekend with an invigorating yet relaxing workout. No experience is needed because these outdoor yoga classes are made for participants of all skill levels.
When: Monday, August 23th - Sunday, August 29th
Where: Miami Rec Center (750 S. Oak St.) AND
Chestnut Field House (79 W. Chestnut St.)
The Miami Rec Center is having a Fitness FREE Week where all of their group fitness and Chestnut Field House classes will be free of charge for both students and residents. If you've ever wanted to try spinning, yoga, or Zumba classes, now's the time to see everything the rec center has to offer.

Where: NEW Location! OCAC’s Outdoor Pavilion (10 S. College Ave.)
Outdoor theater performance? Check. Warm, glowing summer night? Check. Fun for the whole family? Check! We teamed up with the Oxford Community Arts Center to bring the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company back to Oxford for a FREE play in the new Pavilion at OCAC. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, sit back and relax, because #CincyShakes will be performing Romeo and Juliet and you won't want to miss it. We even have a kid activity and potion, anyone?
Rain location: Inside the Oxford Community Arts Center (10 S. College Ave)
When: Friday, August 27th, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Where: Uptown Oxford (2 East High Street)
A new Oxford summer favorite! Red Brick Fridays were introduced in 2020 for an open-pedestrian-mall-feel to shop and dine by “expanding” the sidewalks onto High Street! That’s right, during Red Brick Fridays you can walk right down the middle of the road on our iconic red bricks from Campus to Beech St. This last of the season RBF will bring together our local community and students to meet and mingle: Food trucks, carnival games, live music, student scavenger hunt, and even fingerpainting a police cruiser all the while grabbing a bite to eat, do some retail therapy and experience High Street as a huge sidewalk. Bring your friends and meet some new ones!
When: Weekday & Weekend Home Games (Composite Calendar Here)
Where: Athletic Facilities Directory and Tickets Here
Show your red and white spirit and come cheer on your RedHawks this 2021-2022 season! Tickets may be purchased by calling 513-529-4295 or by visiting MiamiRedHawks.com.
And remember to color Oxford red each week by sporting red clothing & Miami athletics apparel as part of Wear Red Fridays in support of all our RedHawks- community members, fans, students, alumni, faculty and staff included! In just a few weeks, look forward to Miami University's Family Weekend on October 1st - 3rd and Homecoming Weekend on October 15th -16th. There are lots of events taking place on and around campus, including tailgating before the big game!
