While we always encourage supporting our local businesses, we find it important now more than ever. In March there was a mandatory closure of businesses deemed non-essential and many of our local businesses had to keep their doors closed for months, either severely cutting back on services offered or halting service altogether.
Our local businesses are owned, managed, and staffed by Oxford community members. They not only help drive our local economy, but they make our town unique! Let's show our appreciation for them as they open their doors again by helping these beloved businesses offset any profit loss due to COVID-19.
The City of Oxford has launched a Business Stimulus Program with a corresponding eCommerce site. Now you can buy gift cards to local retailers, restaurants, salons, and more all on one convenient online shop. You can choose to pick up your purchase at the City Building (15 S. College Ave.) or have it mailed to you.
We're so proud of how our small but mighty town has rallied together during these uncertain times. Let's keep the momentum going and continue to help each other as we move forward.
