Holiday cheer is just around the corner. In the winter months, the streets of Uptown Oxford are adorned with twinkling lights, beautiful wreaths, and cheerful decorations. What better way to celebrate than at the annual Oxford Holiday Festival? The year, the event will take place over two days!
T’was the night before the Holiday Festival…it is the Holiday Walk!

Enjoy an evening filled with shopping to get a head start on holiday gifts! While you’re strolling through the shops, enter to win fast passes for the Santa, carriage or ice skating lines on Saturday- the winners will be announced Saturday at 6:30 p.m. To kick off your shopping spree the right way, be sure to enter the Holiday Sweepstakes for a chance to win $500 to your favorite shops in Oxford. From Dec. 2-20th, be sure to enter your name in any of the participating shops. Winner will be announced December 21st!
After your shopping extravaganza, be sure to get a good night’s sleep because the festivities continue the next day.
Oxford Holiday Festival
Oxford Community Arts Center
On Saturday, more holiday fun will commence! Throughout the morning and afternoon, the Oxford Community Arts Center will be hosting activities for families. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Talawanda Band Boosters will host the Craft Market that will feature crafts and gifts for purchase, as well as food and coffee. From 12 p.m. until 2 p.m., children can have their photo taken with Santa! Additionally, there will be special activities available for kids from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Kids Korner. Student musical and dance performances will take place every hour in the theater.
Uptown Parks Events
Head Uptown in the afternoon on Saturday; listen and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Holiday Festival. Live performances begin at 4:30pm and will take place on the Uptown stage throughout the evening, including performances from the Miami University Gospel Singers, Shakerettes, Treblemakers, Open Fifth, Just Duet, Swing Syndicate and the Oxford Community Band. At 5:00 p.m., Ice Skating begins and there will be carriage rides and live reindeer. Additionally, there will be a snow globe photo booth, Light Fight voting, hot cocoa and cookies....did we mention this is all FREE!
At 6:30 p.m., Santa will make his grand entrance Uptown by fire truck! Children will then have another opportunity for photos with Santa from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
