Dear visiting athletes and parents,

Welcome to Oxford, Ohio! There may not be much downtime in between games so we don't want you to waste even a second of it. To save you from spending precious time searching for where to eat and what to do, we compiled this convenient list for you. Now you'll spend less time wondering how to enjoy Oxford and more time actually enjoying it!

But First, Coffee...

You've no doubt been up since the crack of dawn so whether you're a team member or a parent chaperone, coffee may be just what you need to get the day going.

Kofenya

Whether you're looking for some freshly brewed coffee or an order of gourmet toast, Kofenya will have what you're looking for to give your morning a jumpstart. Grab a seat by the window overlooking High Street and stay awhile.

Patterson's Cafe

Need caffeine and be served a big breakfast? Or carry-out a big cup of specialty coffee and a backpack bagel for on-the-go? Then visit Oxford's favorite place for breakfast at Patterson's Cafe.

Where to Eat

You'll either be hungry after running around all morning or you'll need to refuel before the next game. Venture into town to enjoy some delicious, local food. We have quite a few establishments that can comfortably accommodate large groups so you can bring the whole team! Just give the restaurants a call ahead of time to let them know you're coming.

Left Field Tavern

With a spacious outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating, Left Field is a great spot to bring a large group. Enjoy a full menu that includes toasted ravioli, pulled pork sliders, chicken wings, sandwiches and more.

Fiesta Charra

Serving the Oxford community since 2002, Fiesta Charra is the place to go for an expansive menu of delicious and authentic Mexican food. Burritos, taco bowls, fajitas and more await you in this roomy, colorful restauraunt.

LaRosa's Pizzeria

From deluxe pizzas to calzones and pasta, LaRosa's has something for everyone. Their "Crowd Pleaders" menu is ideal for a large group because it features options specifically made for parties of 10. Example: trays of 50 wings, trays of 24 chicken tenders, etc.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings (affectionately known as BDubs) has televisions mounted everywhere you look, including in the booths, making it the perfect place for game-watching in between your game-playing. If you're hungry then their menu has you covered with options ranging from wings and burgers to salads, wraps, and shareables.

Steinkeller

Oxford's authentic German bier hall Steinkeller is a hidden gem that's located underground. The name literally translates to "stone cellar." Experiment with something delicious like a double brat burger or a Jäger schnitzel.

Gaslight Brewhouse

Gaslight is Oxford's local craft beer sports bar, complete with lots of TVs, daily specials, and a big menu full of delicious pub food like hamburgers and wings. They have specials every day of the week, such as Kids Eat Free with Adult Meal Purchase on Tuesdays.

Bodega

Bodega is a cozy space that won't have room for a large group, but that doesn't mean you should miss out on their fresh deli options. They have soups and sandwiches, wraps, salads, and a specials menu that changes every day. They can provide your team with boxed lunches that you can then take out into the park for a picnic. Call them and place your order at least 48 hours before you plan to pick it up.

What to Do

Scenario: you're in between games, you've already eaten at one of the places we suggesed above, now you're wondering the best way to kill the time you have left before you have to head back. We've got suggestions for fun stuff to do that the whole team can take part in together.

Play at the Rec

Keep your energy up with a trip to the Miami University Rec Center. For just $9/person you can buy a day pass and gain access to the gym, basketball courts, rock wall, and more.

Paint at You're Fired

You're Fired is Oxford's paint-your-own-pottery studio. If you need to take a load off, stop by and spend a couple of soothing hours painting whatever pottery pieces you pick off the shelf. It takes a week to fire the pieces so speak with the staff about shipping options.

Bowl at Oxford Lanes

Play a friendly game of bowling with your team at the Oxford Lanes. It only costs $3.75/person to play a game and $2.00 for the shoe rental. Oxford Lanes hosts leagues and tournaments so call ahead of time to make sure they have an open bowling schedule on the day you want to play.
