Calling all chocolate lovers! Don’t miss Oxford, Ohio’s Chocolate Meltdown for a day filled with your favorite cocoa confections, vendors, family fun activities, and everything in between to celebrate this winter season.
All Things Chocolatey
The Oxford Community Arts Center will transform into a chocolate lover’s dream! Enjoy all things fun and chocolatey indoors and *outdoors on College Avenue in Uptown, Oxford, Ohio.
Begin the meltdown with tasting tickets to sample the confections offered by talented bakers and artisans that are almost too fancy to eat (but who’s kidding, right?). Like chocolate, this event is for all ages! There will be plenty of experiences for kids too, play together in a Giant Candy Land, watch a magician, face painting, and so much more to melt the winter blues! Whatever meltdown path you choose, check out this year’s “Sweet Dreams ” art exhibit submitted by community members of all ages to celebrate the fun!
….Oh! In the back of the ballroom, you’ll find two adult chocolate bars provided by Oxford Spirits Liquor Store. Use tasting tickets to sample the beer and liquors!
*If the weather permits, outside activities will feature Giant Candyland, face painting, and yard games.
Admission
Admission to the Chocolate Meltdown event is FREE! Purchase tasting tickets onsite at the event in quantities 6, 12, or 24 which can be used for both chocolate tastings AND the Chocolate Bar (for those ‘of age’). Additional tasting tickets are $1 each, 6 for $5, 12 for $10, and 24 for $20.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum at Miami University & the Oxford Community Arts Center.
Prepare for a delightful chocolate experience while supporting local artists and businesses at this year’s Chocolate Meltdown. This day is dedicated entirely to chocolate!

Jan. 10th, Chocolate Crawl: New this year! Grab your friends and family and visit participating Uptown businesses to complete the crawl for tasty treats and beverages. Passports will be available at each participating business. Jan. 11th from 10:30 am – Noon, Chocolate 101: Visit the Lee and Rosemary Fisher Innovation College@Elm for a coffee and chocolate talk with Rob Rollins. Open to all ages. Pre-booking required through [email protected]. Please indicate your interest by providing your name, telephone number, and number of attendees by January 10. Spaces may be limited. Entry $5 at the door (cash or credit).
Where does chocolate come from? Why does chocolate make you feel good? Chocolate aficionado, Rob Rollins, answers these questions and more while he shares his knowledge of the history of chocolate and how it is made. As part of the program, a series of varieties of chocolate will be offered for tasting.
