Hueston Woods Apple Butter Festival | October 5th & 6th, 2024

Admission: $5 per Adult or $10 per car, Children under 12 FREE

Hueston Woods State Park – Doty Homestead 6924 Brown Rd., Oxford, OH 45056

The Apple Butter Festival is an annual weekend dives deep into 19th-century farm life and the works of making apple butter in pioneer fashion.  In addition to apple butter sales, purchase a bundle of apples, apple cider, pumpkins, and gourds while you browse through attending vendors and pioneer crafts. Historic tours will be conducted at Doty homestead and barn of the mid-1800s with museum artifacts of the time!

Proceeds are directed to the historic preservation goals of the Oxford Museum Association.

Activities

See how the apple butter is made in old-world fashion! Live music by the Wild Water Bluegrass Band, setting the fall festival atmosphere. Check out spinning & weaving demonstrations, blacksmithing, and open tours at the Doty Homestead & Pioneer Barn. Plus, feed the cutest Alpacas in town!

Food & Vendors

Kettle corn, funnel cakes, fall produce, apple cider, fresh apples, gourds & pumpkins, and of course… apple butter! Browse through handmade arts & crafts vendors and take home something made from the heart.
