2026 Miami University Homecoming Week
Miami University Homecoming Week returns to Oxford Sept. 20-26, bringing students, alumni, families and friends together to celebrate the traditions, connections and school spirit that define the Miami experience. This year’s schedule features activities across campus and Uptown, culminating in the RedHawks’ Homecoming football game against UConn on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Love and Honor Cup
The Love and Honor Cup recognizes a Miami University senior who demonstrates the university’s values through campus involvement, academic achievement and community service. Presented annually by the Miami University Alumni Association during the Homecoming football game, the award is open to members of the class of 2027 who take pride in Miami, represent the student body and make meaningful contributions to the university community.

From weeklong spirit challenges to alumni gatherings, concerts, athletic events and more, Miami’s Homecoming schedule offers plenty of ways to celebrate. Here is an overview of the events currently planned.
Weeklong Events
Red and White Everywhere: Homecoming Spirit Challenge
- Description: Decorate your office, workspace, classroom, residence hall or home in Miami’s signature red and white, then share photos on social media, making sure to tag @Miamialum.

Residence Hall Association Banner Decorating Contest
- Description: Residence hall Community Leadership Teams are invited to showcase their Miami spirit through decorated banners, with residential students voting for the People’s Choice award.

Yom Kippur Services Presented by Hillel at Miami University
- Description: Observe Yom Kippur with morning services, a learning program, evening services and a Break the Fast meal.

Tuesday, Sept. 22
Paint the Town RED
- Description: Join the Miami University Student Foundation and Miami Activities and Programming as they fill Uptown Oxford with Homecoming spirit. This event is presented in partnership with Enjoy Oxford.

- Description: Preview scenes from the documentary and hear behind-the-scenes stories during a panel featuring filmmakers and special guests.

Miami Field Hockey vs. James Madison
- Description: Cheer on the defending MAC champion RedHawks as they face James Madison.

Grand Reopening of Bachelor Hall
- Description: Celebrate the grand reopening of the newly renovated Bachelor Hall, a new home for creativity, scholarship and discovery.

Homecoming Kickoff Social
- Description: Reconnect with familiar faces, make new connections and enjoy a Homecoming happy hour featuring bites from Skippers.

- Cost: $15 per person. Registration also includes a ticket to Saturday’s Homecoming football game and a clear tote bag giveaway.

Shabbat Under the Stars
- Description: Celebrate Shabbat and Sukkot with friends, food and community in Hillel’s sukkah.

Miami Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner
- Description: Celebrate the individuals and team entering the Miami Athletics Hall of Fame as members of the 2026 class.

- Cost: $55 per person and $25 for children 12 and younger.

Mix It Up: A Flavorman Tasting Experience
- Description: Join Miami alumnus Dave Dafoe for a hands-on experience combining beverage science, flavor experimentation and creativity.
- Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

- Cost: $50 per person. The fee includes the presentation, mixing and tasting experience, and appetizers.
- Registration: Attendees must be at least 21, and tickets are limited.
All Choirs Concert: America Sings 250
- Description: Celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary through American choral music performed by the Men’s Glee Club, Chamber Singers and Choraliers.

Shabbat Dinner at Chabad House
- Description: Gather for a home-cooked Shabbat meal and an evening of conversation and connection.

NPHC Yard Show
- Description: The Miami University National Pan-Hellenic Council will host its annual yard show, highlighting the university’s African American Greek-letter organizations through performances celebrating unity and community. All alumni, students and guests are welcome to attend.

Uptown Pep Rally
- Description: Enjoy live music, a DJ, games, activities and local food trucks during an evening of Homecoming spirit.

- Description: Meet Miami’s 2026-27 basketball teams, hear from the coaches and watch the players participate in skills challenges.

Saturday, Sept. 26
Homecoming NSSLHA 5K Run
- Description: Run or walk a course through Miami’s campus during the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association’s Homecoming 5K.
- Time: 8:45 a.m.
- Location: Begins and ends at Lewis Place, 310 E. High St.
- Cost: $25 for general participants and $15 for students.

Oxford Farmers Market
- Description: Approximately 40 local vendors will be selling bites, beverages, crafts and more.

RedHawk Preview Day
- Description: Prospective students are invited to build a customized schedule featuring campus tours and sessions about admissions, financial aid, academic programs and more.

M.O.V.E. Bootcamp
- Description: Join Miami University President Greg Crawford and Dr. Renate Crawford for a fitness class hosted at their home. This free monthly event is open to the university, community and local alumni.

Myaamia Center Open House
- Description: Celebrate the Myaamia Center’s 25th anniversary and learn about its work in language revitalization, research, education and community engagement.

Tailgate Parking Lots Open
- Description: Game-day parking lots open five hours before the RedHawks take on UConn.
- Time: Five hours before kickoff

- Cost: Parking passes cost $20 and should be purchased in advance with game tickets. A limited number may be available for purchase by credit card at the lots on game day.

Black Alumni Tailgate
- Description: All alumni and friends are welcome to gather for food, fellowship and football before the game as part of a weekend celebrating Black alumni.
- Time: Two hours before kickoff
- Location: Near the Cradle of Coaches at Yager Stadium, 700 Weeb Ewbank Way
- Cost: $10 per person. The fee includes light game-day bites and nonalcoholic drinks. A football ticket can be added for another $10.

Marching Band Pre-Game Concert
- Description: Hear the Miami University Marching Band perform music from its traditional pregame show and the halftime show for the Homecoming football game.

Alumni Band Reception — Celebrating 90 Years of MUMB
- Description: Alumni Band members, family and friends are invited to reconnect, share memories and celebrate the Miami University Marching Band’s 90th anniversary.
- Time: After the football game

- Cost: $25 for guests 13 and older; free for children 12 and younger. Heavy appetizers and nonalcoholic beverages are included, while alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

- Description: Watch an exclusive Homecoming showing of the 155-minute documentary exploring Miami’s football coaching legacy.

Black Alumni Gathering
- Description: Sponsored by the Black Alumni Advisory Committee, this postgame gathering welcomes all Miami alumni and friends to celebrate Black alumni with music, food and fellowship.

- Cost: $15 per person. Heavy appetizers are included, while alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at a cash bar.

- Description: Cheer on the defending MAC champion RedHawks as they take on Appalachian State.

Miami Soccer vs. Ball State
- Description: Support Miami women’s soccer as the RedHawks face MAC opponent Ball State.

Homecoming Parking
Parking rules differ between Miami University property, athletics lots and city of Oxford streets and lots. Please review the applicable requirements before arriving.
On-Campus Parking
Miami University will not enforce campus parking permit requirements from noon Friday, Sept. 25, through 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. Visitors may park without a permit in campus lots and on campus streets that normally require one, but standard hourly charges will remain in effect at meters and in garages.
Athletics Parking
Football parking will be available in the West Millett Hall and Fryman lots, which open five hours before kickoff. Parking passes cost $20 and should be purchased in advance with game tickets. City of Oxford Parking
City parking meters and restrictions will remain in effect on Oxford streets, including Campus Avenue, and throughout Uptown. Paid parking will also be available in the public garage at Main and Walnut streets. The public lot at Main and Church streets will be unavailable Saturday morning during the Oxford Farmers Market. Follow posted signs and avoid parking in yellow zones, yards or locations that block sidewalks.
