2026 Miami University Family Weekend
Miami University Family Weekend returns to Oxford Oct. 16-18, giving students and their families an opportunity to reconnect, spend time on campus and experience the community together. Among the weekend’s featured events are An Evening With Nick Offerman at Millett Hall on Friday and the RedHawks’ home football game against Akron at Yager Stadium on Saturday.

An Evening With Nick Offerman
Actor, author, humorist and woodworker Nick Offerman will take the stage at Millett Hall at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. Best known for playing Ron Swanson on “Parks and Recreation,” Offerman will share an evening of stories, observations and humor shaped by the wit that has become a hallmark of his work both on and off the screen.
Presented by the Miami University Performing Arts Series and Miami Activities and Programming, the performance will give students and family members plenty to laugh and talk about long after the show ends. Tickets range from $50 to $75.
This performance may not be appropriate for all ages.
Miami Football vs. Akron
On Saturday, head to Yager Stadium to cheer on the Miami RedHawks as they host the Akron Zips. The Oct. 17 matchup is a Mid-American Conference contest and Miami’s designated Family Weekend game.
Miami students and their families can wear red and white, fill the stands and experience the excitement of RedHawk football together. The kickoff time has not yet been announced.
