Calling for volunteers, groups, organizations, clubs, and more!

Do you have free time on your hands? Do you find yourself eager to lend a hand at your favorite local events? Or are you looking for a way to earn funding for a club or organization? We’re happy you found us! The Oxford Visitors Bureau AKA Enjoy Oxford, is looking for a group, or individuals to help us with local events such as the Uptown Music Concert Series, and Red Brick Reunion Porsche Car Show, and more fun events!

Volunteer: Uptown Music Concert Series

Uptown Music is a weekly event in the summer, we will need *volunteers to help set up and break down signs, tents, tables, and chairs for our sponsors who help fund the concert series each year. To make this event a comfortable experience for our sponsors, we set everything up so all they need to do is show up and enjoy the show! Here is what you can sign up for:

*Volunteers must be 16+ years old, and able to lift 25 lbs.

When? Thursdays, June-August

Where? Enjoy Oxford office: 14 W. Park Pl. Suite C.

  • Set up (6:00 pm):
    • Sponsor Banners (Need 2-4 people)
    • Tents (Need 2-4 people)
    • Tables & Chairs (Need 2 people)
  • Break down (9:30 pm)
    • Sponsor Banners (Need 2-4 people)

Volunteer: Red Brick Reunion Porsche Car Show

Join us to be a part of the 10th annual Red Brick Reunion Porsche Car Show. This year we want to make it extra special to mark a decade of the RBR Porsche Car Show. This year, we will need *volunteers to help this event run smoothly, here’s how you can help:

*Volunteers must be 16+ years old, and able to lift 25 lbs.

When? August 10th, 2024

Where? Enjoy Oxford office: 14 W. Park Pl Suite C.

  • Set up (7:00 am)
    • Tents (4-5 people)
    • Tables & Chairs (4-5 people)
    • Awards & Raffle prizes (2-3 people)
    • Carry boxes of swag bags to Welcome booth (2-3 people)
    • Wayfinding signage set up (2 people)
  • Break down (2:00 pm)
    • Tents (4-5 people)
    • Tables & Chairs (4-5 people)
    • Return remaining awards and welcome booth materials (2-3 people)
    • Pick up/return wayfinding signs (2 people)
    • Remove and trash “No Parking” signs (1 person)

Ready to Lend a Hand?

For group/organization? Consider volunteering at any of these events to earn funding! We’re looking for groups from the Oxford community who are seeking funding opportunities and are willing to pitch in on our placemaking efforts. We will offer your group/organization a stipend in exchange for your volunteer group to assist us with event set-ups, tear-downs, and management. Tasks typically involve 1 to 2 hours of moderate physical work, such as setting up tables, chairs, pop-up tents, etc. Depending on the size of your volunteer team and the duration of the event, scholarships ranging from $100 to $200 as a token of our appreciation for your support. Individual volunteer? Earn volunteer hours for school and community initiatives. Tasks typically involve 1 to 2 hours of moderate physical work, such as setting up tables, chairs, pop-up tents, etc. To get started, contact us at [email protected] with your desired volunteer event dates/times, or your general availability to be scheduled for an upcoming event.

Volunteer Requirements and Duties

  • Group/organization volunteers will require a minimum of 4 volunteers to be available for any given event to be considered for participation.
    • Some events may require additional volunteers.
  • Volunteers must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
    • This will allow for the set-up and tear-down of tables, chairs, tents, etc.
    • Pop-up tents will require volunteers to reach a height of at 6-feet from the ground.
    • While your organization might have more than 4 volunteers at any one event, at least four members of your group must be able to take on these duties.
  • Some events may include the management of public restrooms.
    • Direct event guests to the restroom location on the upper level of the LCNB building.
    • Cleaning and trash removal from the LCNB restrooms at the end of the event.
