Independence Day Celebrations

Fireworks, games, and parades, oh my! Independence Day in Oxford, Ohio means the community gathering together for family-friendly celebrations. July 4th may be just one day, but this year, the celebrations will take place over two weekends and multiple days. Take a look at the upcoming festivities near the Oxford area. 

Masonic Lodge Car & Bike Show

When: Saturday, June 28th, 2025 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Where: Uptown Parks (Main & High Street)

This year, the Oxford Masonic Lodge Car & Bike Show will kick off the Oxford Parks and Recreation Department Freedom Festival Parade. Test your luck for Split-the-Pot, shop at the Oxford farmers market (9:00 am – Noon), fill up with food vendors & food trucks, and enter to win raffle prizes. While you’re there, enjoy live music from The Highway 61 Revisited and Turntable during the show!

Highway 61 Revisited (10:00 AM): The Highway 61 Revisited is a rock ‘n’ roll band from Middletown, Ohio. Members include: Bob Dellaposta (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Lester (lead guitar, vocals), Tiffani Anglin (saxophone, keytar, vocals), Charlie Grau (bass guitar, vocals), and Wade Back (drums). Turntable (1:00 PM): Turntable is a five-piece cover band from Cincinnati, Ohio specializing in classic rock. Members include: Steve Collins (lead vocals, percussion), Eddie Dunn (drums, vocals), Brett Hubers (keyboard, vocals), Chris Lohmann (bass guitar, vocals), and Nick Robinson (guitar). Facebook

OPRD Freedom Festival Parade

When: Saturday, June 28th, 2025 (5:00 PM – 6:00 PM, line up by 4:30)

Where: Kramer Elementary to the Uptown Parks

Join or cheer on friends and family to celebrate Independence Day at the community parade!

  • Decorate your group or float with lots of red, white, and blue!
  • Kids – Decorate your bikes for the Bike Parade (ages 3-12)
  • Pet Owners – Dress up your pet for the Pet Parade

OPRD Freedom Festival

When: Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 10:30 PM

***FIREWORKS AT 10:00PM!!***

Where: The Oxford Community Park (6801 Fairfield Rd)

  • Parking: $5 charge per vehicle at Oxford Community Park
  • Entertainment: Live music, games and inflatables, carriage rides, face painters, and more!
  • Food and drink trucks, beer garden, and vendors!
  • No alcohol, grills, or drones are allowed in the park
  • Rain date for July 3rd events and fireworks is TBD

College Corner’s Old Fashioned 4th of July

When: Friday, July 4th, 2025 from 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Where: Stateline Ballpark, College Corner, Indiana

Get ready for a good old-fashioned Independence Day celebration in College Corner, IN. Prepare for a fireworks show that is the talk of the town! The parade and family fun activities begin at 3:00 PM. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and find a spot to view the famous fireworks once dusk falls. Rain date will be held on July 5th.

Thunder Saturday, Hueston Woods Fireworks

When: Saturday, July 5th, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Where: Hueston Woods Lodge (5201 Lodge Road, College Corner)

Take the scenic route to experience the annual fireworks at Hueston Woods State Park with the gorgeous views of Lake Acton lit up under the night sky. If you’re planning outdoor recreational activities during the week of Independence Day, Hueston Woods is a go-to destination to enjoy fun activities and nature programming all in one area. Admission is free! Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to sit back and enjoy the show. Locations to view the fireworks will be at the Hueston Woods Lodge with catered refreshments, or find your perfect spot on the other side of the lake at Hueston Woods Beach!
